Fill your Home with Laughter
A joyful heart is good medicine . . . Prov. 17:22a
Summer is a great time. The kids are out of school and looking forward to a couple of months of freedom … and the parents are often knee-deep in plans for the family vacation! For us, summer is often a busy time, but it’s also a fun time. Let me encourage you to take advantage of this summer and make some time to enjoy the small moments. Here are just a few suggestions on how you can fill your home with laughter. May it be a place where great memories are made that last a lifetime for you, and your children.
- Tune into your kids. You’ll be surprised at the funny things they have to say.
- Get out your old yearbooks and let the kids have a belly laugh at your expense.
- Rent a funny family movie and laugh it up together over a bowl of popcorn.
- Go outside and play with your kids. Even your neighbors might get a good laugh.
- Remember, God wants us to be filled with joy. (Ps. 4:7; Prov. 15:13, 17:22; Nehemiah 8:10)
