Make this the best school year ever
It is hard to believe that summer is coming to a close and it is back to school time again. Parents may be happier about this than their kids but nevertheless, it is time to get those backpacks filled with the new school supplies and head out to the buses and carpool lanes.
Being intentional is so important when it comes to our kids. And getting the school year off to a great start is part of it. So below is a list of 10 things that you can do that can really pay off when it comes to making each school year the best it can be.
10 ways to make this the best school year ever:
- Gather your children and commit this school year to God in prayer.
- Make a commitment to be less rushed in the mornings.
- Eat breakfast together before heading off to school and work.
- Assign a handy location for backpacks, band instruments and sports equipment.
- Keep clutter to a minimum by making a folder for each child’s papers.
- Make a commitment to eat dinner together at least 4 nights a week. Go to dinnerdialogue.com for some great ideas for table talk.
