Back to Basics :: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
As we sit back and reflect on this day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we must remember the basics. The golden rule: Treat others how you would like to be treated. Nothing can explain this more than grace-based relationships. Whether it’s your spouse, your child, your neighbor, a co-worker or a complete stranger – we all deserve grace from each other. If you don’t know what that would look like exactly, Dr. Tim Kimmel said it best:
Grace-based relationships are simply treating the people you love the way that God treats you.
And since God has instructed us to intensely love our neighbor {Mark 12:31} we must show each other grace on a daily basis. How do you show grace to your fellow neighbor? How do you explain this act of grace and instruction to your child?
