About The Weekend

During this inspiring weekend, you’ll discover how the message of grace has been transforming families for over 40 years. Not only will you be equipped and encouraged in your parenting, you will also have the opportunity to become a partner in this world changing movement to impact families for generations.

We know you will be rejuvenated in your faith as you hear from uplifting speakers and musicians along with meeting like-minded couples from around the country. You’ll also be able to relax in the beautiful Sonoran desert, enjoy delicious meals, and world class entertainment. It’s a weekend we know you’ll treasure!

The Location

Located in Tempe’s newly revitalized downtown, the Omni Tempe offers world class accommodations, an expansive rooftop pool deck, and innovative restaurants. During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to rest and rejuvenate at this AAA Four-Diamond-rated destination in a truly unique environment.

It’s our pleasure to treat you to the entire weekend including accommodations, breakfasts and dinners. Your expense will be transportation and lunches.

During this event there will be an opportunity to financially partner with Grace Based Families and our mission to build strong families.

This is a similar event as On the Homefront with some exciting changes.

The resort has offered the group room rate to our guests 3 days prior to and 3 days after the event, based on availability. The rate is $259.00 per night and extra days will be at your own expense. We love kids, but it will be best for you to leave them at home. This event is for adults only and we hope it’s a refreshing and enjoyable time away for you as a couple.

This is a referral-based event. We have asked our past attendees and ministry partners for couples who have a heart for Jesus, a heart for the family, and the ability to come alongside the ministry in a significant manner (if they feel led to). If you have friends that you think would be a good for this event, please let us know and we would be happy to invite them.

One of the main goals of this event is to spend enough dedicated time with each other to build strong relationships with our partners. Because of this, we strongly encourage you to attend the whole event. However, if you cannot make it to all of it, but would still like to participate, please reach out to Michelle at Michelle@gracebasedfamilies.com to see if it’s a possibility.

For those flying to Phoenix Sky Harbor International airport, the Omni Tempe Hotel is a close ten minutes away. We will not be covering transportation costs.

If you’re doing a rideshare, you’ll find that on the ground level just outside baggage claim.

The Rental Car Center is located within its own building at 1805 E. Sky Harbor Circle South (between 16th Street and 24th Street, south of Buckeye Road).

The Omni Hotel is located at 7 E University Drive, Tempe, AZ 85281. Our team will have a Grace Based Families table setup in the lobby when you arrive to help you check in.

Resort casual. Dinner on Saturday is a bit dressier, so you’ll want to include one outfit that would be appropriate if you were dining at a nice restaurant with friends (perhaps a dress for the ladies and slacks for the guys.)

Yes! We’ve built in free time during the afternoon and there are walking options around the hotel. Shopping, sightseeing or just plain relaxing by the pool. There are a variety of outside activities in the beautiful setting like hiking, biking, and the Phoenix Botanical Garden are all close by.
