Having the “Sex Talk” with your Kids

Okay, you’ve sweated enough bullets in anticipation. It’s time to do what you’ve been dreading… talk to your kids about sex! Is the thought of having “The Sex Talk” with your kids making you wish Dr. Phil was your next door neighbor? Is the little voice in your head telling you that you have no business discussing sexual purity with your kids because of your past? It’s spring time again. The birds are chirping, the bees are buzzing but it’s not just the flowers that are blossoming. Don’t be afraid of talking to your kids about the changes that are going on with their bodies and what these changes are meant for. No matter what your past and not matter how “innocent” you think your kids are, they need to hear about the birds and the bees from YOU, their parent. You need to be the first one to talk about it with them; not their teachers and definitely not their friends. Check out our new radio feature Family Matters Minute. We have three one minute audio pieces just for you.
