Oh, Canada – a Montreal Marriage Conference Update

We’ve just returned from an incredible weekend of ministry in Montreal, Canada. We love our neighbors to the North and have had some great opportunities recently to share the grace based message of God’s love with them. There are some vibrant churches in Quebec that are having a tremendous impact for the Kingdom of God and we were in two of them this weekend. We spoke at the Couples en Reno (renovation) Conference (aka our Home Improvement Marriage Conference) at Eglise Nouvelle Vie on Saturday. It was so exciting to see hundreds of couples receive God’s plan for marriage and celebrate this gift together. We love the staff there and their commitment to families and marriage. On Sunday we were at another amazing church, Eglise le Portail, where Tim spoke in both of their morning services. They have an amazing, young, energetic staff who are excited about reaching their community for Christ. By far one of the funnest and funniest part of the weekend was being translated into French for the audiences. Our translators were incredible, mirroring every action and voice inflection of ours. They didn’t skip a beat even when they had to communicate crazy jokes and some delicate subjects in the romance and intimacy talk. For those who spoke English as well as French, they got a double dose of information and even got to laugh at the punch lines twice. We also loved worshipping with these French Canadians as they sang the same songs we sing every Sunday morning, only in the beautiful French language. It was a good reminder that God rules over every tribe and is gloried by every tongue. All in all, it was an incredible weekend. Aye!
