For the past couple years, Family Matters has sponsored and attended the Allume Social Conference (formerly known as the Relevant Conference). We love everything about this event and only have wonderful things to say about the founders, speakers, sponsors and attendees. If you’re unfamiliar with this event, here is their mission statement :
The Allume Social conference exists to offer a gathering place for kindred spirits to connect, learn, grow, and be refreshed so they can persevere in being a people who bring hope to the world through the social media medium. Our goal is to go beyond the surface into intentional blogging and real life living, all to the glory of God.Allume Social is a one-of-a-kind conference that seeks to engage women by teaching blogging techniques and social media skill while also urging and encouraging women to live fully integrated lives with their faith and family.
The Allume Social Conference will take place on October 25-27, 2012 at the Hilton Hotel in Harrisburg, PA. You can find more information on how to register for this year’s event HERE. But here’s the best news…. Our team is extremely passionate about what these ladies are doing in their homes and through their social media influence. To Enter ::
As we all know, the hurried lifestyle often seems inescapable. Thankfully it’s not. There are ways to maintain a sense of rest – regardless of the demands life puts upon you. We want to hear what you’re doing to help maintain a sense of calm within yourself and your family. To enter to win the Allume Conference Ticket we’re asking all applicants to do the following three things ::

Write a blog post (on your own blog) about one way that you’re helping to bring rest to your hurried home.

Within your post link to Little House on the Freeway – an excellent resource which addresses the need to slow down for a minute or two for the sake of our families.

Once your post is live come back to this post and leave a comment with the direct link to your post.
Optional (but really appreciated) – Share your post through at least 2 social media channels – Twitter, Facebook, your blog, your newsletter etc. A winner will be selected from the accepted posts on April 30, 2012 and the ticket will be transferred to the winner shortly after that.
